Amie's first bath

Within the past couple of days Amie has discovered the bath. I know most parents bath their kids from infancy, but I prefer to shower with my babies. So, when Amie was more steady on her sitting abilities we put her in the bath, and she loved it, rather loved splashing. Here is a picture of the princess enjoying her bath.

Ward Christmas Party

Tonight was our fabulous ward Christmas party. The kids favorite part was seeing Santa. Garrett and Matthew looked forward to that all night.

Kimberly and Mike came down from Utah so Kim could run the Marathon. We had a great time hanging out and being together. Thanks Kim for coming. It was great to see you!!!

Gingerbread Houses

Today it was a rather cold day (you know it did get to 50 degrees) so we decided to make gingerbread houses or rather graham cracker houses. The boys thought it was amazing, and we used the rest of our Halloween candy. Here are a few of the fun shots. (By the way Amie figured out how to open the lollipop and when we looked over she was going to town on it!)

St. George, Utah

Brett had a day off today so we decided to head out of Vegas for the day. We decided to head to St. George and see the trees and the mountains. It was so nice up there and we realized how much we miss the trees, falling leaves, mountains, and seasons. We spent the day touring the historic district, seeing Brigham Youngs winter home. The boys enjoyed seeing the sites, running around at the park and just being together.

This is an orginal building from the 1800's. It's full of old fashioned candy, pop, and supposidly the best soup and bread bowls around. We all enjoyed candy buttons, McCraws taffy, and other candies you don't see very often. The missionaries were telling me it's a frequent stop for many of the apostles when they visit St. George. The boys insisted on covering their eyes for the picute, but they had fun.

I LOVE PRUNES!!!

For the past two months we have been encouraging Amie to eat anything but mommies milk. Let's just say that has not been something she has been to hip on. However insistence pays off. We have found something she will eat. PRUNES. Brett and I wouldn't touch them, however Amie enjoyed quite a few bites of them, which for her is a huge step.

Garrett's Birthday

We celebrated Garrett's birthday a bit early this year so, Garrett wanted to go to Chucky Cheese's (or as Brett and I call it "The Overgrown Rat Sewer"). Garrett had fun running around there, and then homeward bound we went to open Garrett's B-day presents. On a whole I would say he had a marvelous day. Here are a few snapshots of our adventures.

Happy Thanksgiving

This year for Thanksgiving we stayed at home and had a little family dinner. We had a lot of fun cooking together and hanging out. We ate dinner as a family in the afternoon, and then later that evening had the missionaries over. Here are a few snapshots of our little dinner.

Amie's 6 month Doctor Visit

So today was Amies 6 month doctors visit. Lets just say she is a big girl. Here are her stats (so to speak): Height 28" (95%), weight 17lbs 11oz (75-90%). The doctor said she looked like a 1year old.

She also got 3 shots (4 if you count the one that she had to get 2x because the needle was messd up and squirted the juice all over the table). I wish I could say she has also been all smiles, but it has definitly been all tears since the doc's. I don't know how I got her to smile for these pictures.

Dad and Mom Visit

My Dad, Mom and Spencer came for a quick visit over Vetrens Day weekend. We had a great time shopping till you drop (literally, my mom had to take a nap when we got home) and the boys just had a great time building a tent, sleeping in it, and just being boys. My dad fed Amie a popsicle (which she loved). We had a great time with them. The visit was short but fun. We love you mom and dad.

Trunk or Treat 2007

Our ward had a little trunk or treat at the Bishops house. The kids had a great time running around with the other kids, and we can't forget trunk or treating. They especially loved dressing up. Brett was a shark eating a swimmer, and little Amie was a skunk. When I went to go look at costumes for Amie I saw all the princesses and thought those are cute, but we have so many years for her to be those, so we ended up with a skunk. Matthew was a leapord (he hasn't taken the costuem off for about a week and Garrett was a vampire.

Who do you look like

http://www.myheritage.com/FP/Company/look-alike-meter.php

Ok, so we found this on someone elses blog. We tried it with all three of our children and the results were funny. Brett was a little dissapointed by them however because none of the kids looked like him. Here were our results:

Amie 15% like mom
Matthew 30% like mom
Garrett 45% like mom

Muscle Men

So we were having a low key morning when the boys walk in and say "look mom we have muscles" I was laughing so hard. They had filled there pants with balls to look like they had huge legs. It was such a classic moment I had to capture it.

Carving Pumpkins

The boys finally convinced us to carve pumpkins. However they hated "gutting"
the pumpkin so to speak. Garrett was especially disguted. After all was said and done, the boys pumkins turned out great. Amie just loved hanging out and watching the boys. She had her own little pumkin to suck and drool on.

Boys camping with dad

Brett took the boys camping. They love it when dad takes them camping. There favorite part of camping is the fire!!! Brett said they sat there for hours looking and playing in the fire. Crazy boys!!
