Well, we've lived in Nevada for about 4 years. It has lightly snowed a few times, but this snow storm, has all making sure we are still in Nevada. My kids were so excited to go outside and play. Luckily we had jackets, hats and gloves. We attempted to make a little snowman. The boys had a blast. Their feet got cold after about an hour, we were lacking boots, but needless to say we had a great time. Matthew said, "look mom, it's snowing, now Santa can come tomorrow, right?" eating snow

Sata Claus is Coming to Town
Santa Claus came to our ward party and as you can tell Amie was less than thrilled to see him. Even with her precious doll in hand it was everything she could do to break away.

Garrett's 7
It's official Garrett turned 7. It is hard to believe our parenting adventures started 7 years ago! Garrett had a fun birthday and enjoyed stretching the celebrations out as long as possible. Here are a few pictures from the stretched out celebrations. He loves blowing out candles and making wishes. Whenever he has the chance to make a wish, he will. He has such faith that if he doesn't tell anyone what he wished for it will come true!
For Matthew's Birthday he wanted a Mohawk. So this year Garrett asked for a Mohawk also. Since both the boy's hair needed to be cut we gave them both a Mohawk. They kept it for several days, then they asked for it to be cut off. We were surprised. We thought they would ask to keep it on.
We spared Amie the Mohawk though. The boys thought that we should be the Mohawk family and all have one. We told them girls don't get Mohawks. They were disappointed about that response.

Happy Thanksgiving part I
We had a great Thanksgiving break spending time in California with family. My brother was able to come out from AZ and my sister was able to fly out from NY. The weather wasn't exactly Vegas warm, but who can't complain when you spend time hanging out with family on the beach. One of the fav's was going to La Jolla Cove. Here are few pics from the day :
This was probably one of my favorite pictures of the day. Daddy and daughter enjoying the waves discussing nothing but enjoying everything.

Happy Halloween
Brett and I dressed up as Mr. and Mrs. Gorilla this year. The boys were pirates, and Amy was a witch. As soon as Brett and I dressed up in our costumes Amy was so scared! Poor girl.
We hope you all had a great Halloween..

First Grade and Preschool
Today was a big day for us, or rather should I say my boys. Garrett started first grade and in a week Matthew will start preschool. Both boys were nervous, excited, and happy for their upcoming adventures. Here are a few pictures marking the big day.

Matthew's Birthday
Today was Matthew's 4th Birthday. We had a great day hanging out with the family. Matthew for his birthday wanted to go bowling and then to lunch, in that order he said. So.......... today we headed off to Red Rock bowling and lunch. We had a great time and Matthew loved every minute of it.
Matthew's hair was an addition for his birthday. When we were getting ready this morning he said "Mom, I want my hair to stick up today", so we created a Mohawk, which he proudly wore all day.
Happy Birthday Matthew We love you!!!

Kindergarten Graduation
Garrett had his kindergarten celebration on Wed. afternoon. The teacher did such a great job with the kids knowing their songs and actions. The songs were so cute. It was a really cute celebration. Garrett was marvelous! We love you son. We are so proud of you!

We've Moved
So, 3 kids, 1 dog, and 4 years later we decided we had out grown our quaint house and moved! We are loving our new home, the space, and the silence we often hear.
The front of our house.
Amy has been so cute during the move. She always wants to help and be a part of all.

Baseball
A little while ago Garrett started playing baseball. He loves it and can hardly wait to go each week. Saturday he played in his first game and loved it, however didn't quite get the big picture. He kept forgetting to step on the base after he caught the ball. But, he had fun and had a few good hits also. Here are a few of the highlights.
Here Garrett has the ball, however caught it looked at the runner go by and then threw the ball home.

Carlsbad, California
We just spent a week in California at my parents house hanging out. While I was there my dad showed me an article that named Carlsbad, Ca. #32 on CNN.money in the 100 Best places to live and launch (http://money.cnn.com/galleries/2008/fsb/0803/gallery.best_places_to_launch.fsb/32.html)
While I was there I realized how amazing Carlsbad really is. They have trees, the beach, amazing parks with lots of climbing trees and forestry the kids can play in, beautiful sunsets, and unbelievable Urgent care offices. As a side note the urgent care offices in Ca are amazing. We were in and out in about 50 minutes. (No hours of waiting like in Las Vegas) Here are a few pictures from our fun in the sun.
